“It’s eye-opening to realize how much I’ve internalized the idea that my voice doesn’t matter- and how healing it can be to start expressing my feelings just for myself. Thanks again Jennily for being such a steady support.”

“As an Asian-American woman, it’s so nice to have someone who gets it. I don’t have to explain what Asian parents are like.”

FAQs

How is this different from talk therapy?

Traditional talk therapy, or psychotherapy, provides a safe space to explore your feelings, unpack what’s troubling you, and receive professional support for mental health concerns.

I often recommend talk therapy as a helpful first step for those who are new to emotional awareness and personal growth.

This coaching program, however, takes a more holistic, natural, and action-oriented approach. Each session is focused on teaching practical skills, tools, and strategies that address the root causes of stress. Coaching is short-term and solution-driven, guiding you to heal yourself through nervous system regulation, body-centered healing, and rewiring the brain through subconscious reprogramming.

Many of my clients who prioritize practical results and efficiency find coaching a better fit than traditional talk therapy. And if you already have a therapist you trust, coaching can be a great complement to deepen your progress.

What is an Attachment Style?

Your attachment style is the natural way you connect, communicate, and form emotional bonds with others. It develops mostly in childhood based on your early experiences with caregivers, and it shapes how you relate to romantic partners, friends, family, co-workers and even yourself as an adult.

Understanding your attachment style can give you valuable insight into your relationship patterns and help you build healthier, more fulfilling connections.

Here’s an article to learn more: PDS: What is an Attachment Style

How do I know what my attachment style is?

There are four main attachment styles:

  • Secure Attachment — You feel comfortable with intimacy and trust in relationships.

  • Anxious Preoccupied — You often worry about being abandoned and seek a lot of closeness.

  • Dismissive Avoidant — You value independence and may keep emotional distance from others.

  • Fearful Avoidant — You want connection but also feel afraid or unsure about getting close.

Many people find attachment style quizzes helpful for identifying their patterns. While there are plenty online, one of the most reliable and insightful quizzes is by Thais Gibson: Attachment Style Quiz.

Taking a quiz is a great starting point, but working with a coach or therapist can help you understand your style more deeply and how it shows up in your relationships.
